Our History

Baseline Storage in Brighton, CO was founded in 1985. The property used to be a drive-in theater back in the 50s. The theater screen was about 40‘ x 40‘ that could be seen anywhere on the 2.5 acres. Moviegoers could see motion pictures like Davy Crocket, Singing in the Rain, High Noon, and so many more! It was not uncommon for folks to sneak people into the theater by putting them in the trunk of their car or in the back of a pickup truck covered with a tarp. This saved moviegoers about $0.50 per person! The savings would then be used at the concession stands to buy snacks for the movie.

In the early 80s, the drive-in theatre was closed and the property was bought by Delroy Dinkel and Jodi Littleton that had a different idea in mind. Dinkel and Littleton added rows of buildings to the property and turned the property into a storage unit facility. In 1985, Baseline Storage had its grand opening.

In 2001, Dinkel and Littleton sold their business to the current owners and operators, Willie and Sharon Bostrom, that have continued the legacy of the Baseline Storage name. Willie and Sharon have been part of the Brighton community for 40+ years and understand the impact a family-owned business has on the Brighton community. Baseline Storage provides quality customer service and the small-town feel that the Brighton community was built on. The Bostrom's raised their 4 girls in Brighton and now have 15 grandkids and 5 great grandkids.
